Just noticed this and will have to read later, but you can read the 1st issue of an all-digital comic from Kurtis called Beautiful Creatures for free on Comixology. According to Kurtis, this is his first published comics work. Can't wait to check this out tonight 8-)

Description:
They say we all have a monster lurking inside us. Four beautiful college girls uncover their secret passengers - mythic creatures of a long dead age. The surfacing of their true nature hurls them into a hidden world of awakening magic, wonder, and monsters in this double-sized debut issue.

Hey gents,

Yeah, this is my first published work through Red 5 Comics. (Atomic Robo dudes). It came out in print format in 2009 but sold under 1,000 copies. I always had a big stack in my basement and decided to bring them to conventions and they are always the first to sell out at my table. Just reference Buffy or Angel and people buy it. hah.

You can get all 4 issues for $3 on comixology.

I'm not a fan of digital comics. :o

Is there anywhere to get the issues in hard copy?

Um. Maybe on a place like heavyink or even ebay. I doubt it though, I only have a single copy of each issue. I've been talking to Red 5 Comics about collecting it as a TPB, but apparently I own the print rights again so I could maybe approach Jim about it.
