Image Addiction have been real gentlemanly and agreed to host a bi-weekly podcast I've been doing with Ryan Lindsay and Jeremy Holt. It's a comic writers podcast. Here's the links for both episodes:

The Process, Episode #1
The premiere episode of the brand new writing podcast, The Process. Hosted by Kurtis J. Wiebe (Intrepids, Green Wake), Ryan Lindsay (CBR) and Jeremy Holt (Joy Hog), The Process takes aim at the comic writing industry with the high hope of tackling a stack of interesting topics from collaboration to publication.

The first episode is a thorough introduction to the team behind the series followed by an intense discussion about horror in the media, and its particular applicability in sequential storytelling.

Also, lesbian grandmothers.

The Process, Episode #2

The second episode of the brand new writing podcast, The Process.

This episode introduces a new format where we break the show into sections with an overall plan to use the structure from here forward.

Wow Factor – A discussion about our favourite comic moments of the week, be it a specific panel, page or collection of pages. This episode we discuss Mystery Men, Homeland Directive and Demo.

Progress Report – The gents chat about their victories in personal writing projects and Ryan reveals a fetish for unprotected sex with buildings.

Grill ‘Em! – We open the floor to you the listener, with this week’s question from Danial Carroll: “What are your thoughts on using real-world locales and what are the Pro’s and Con’s?”

The Process – The heart of The Process series where the hosts talk about their personal spin on the creative development of their projects. This episode focuses on the effect music has on story craft and Jeremy deflects accusations of Dixie Chicks inspiration for his current pitch.

The Roundtable – An open talk about a random comic related topic, this week disseminating the concept of allowing the art to do the talking and Kurtis reveals a behind the scenes example from Green Wake #1.

Wrap it – Ryan “Handsome Devil” Lindsay closes out the show.

I just finished listening to the first podcast and it was great! While I may not be an inspiring writer, I always find it interesting to hear about the process and the inner workings of making a comic and the industry. It is cool to hear your guys' ideas, experiences and "The Process" that is used in the creation of your comics.

As I mentioned before am I not a writer, so it was quite interesting to hear different things about the writing process that I never knew before. Very interesting.

Can't wait until I have the time to listen to episode two.

Wicked! That's exactly the kind of effect we were going for, and I think there's a pretty good comradery between the three of us, so it's generally entertaining.

#3 was recorded a few weeks ago, I just have to edit it and upload it to the guys at Image Addiction. We've got some pretty great plans for the pod, so make sure to check in here or on the facebook page.

This is a fantastic podcast. I'm not a writer, nor have I studied it. This was great though. I love the structure.

Thanks a lot! After the first episode we realized we should come up with some sort of formula or else we'd just go on tangents for an hour every time.

Episode #4 should be up in a week!
