Where to Start?

Okay, so I wanted to try the book out, and I was wondering what the best place to start is?

The Image ongoing? Or should I pick up the first Omnibus?

Pick up the Omnibuses. The first three are where Hack/Slash all began. Then pick up My First Maniac, I think it has the one shots included if I'm not mistaken. The one shots following after My First Maniac are, Me Without You, Murder Messiah Annual, and Trailers Part Two. Followed after that is the ongoing.

I put together a list of what TPBs and Omnibus editions are out there and what is collected in each.

Totally agree with John, starting with the first Omnibus is best (and cheapest) in the long run.

was there ever a hack slash cover of cassie with a belly rocker tat and it looked like a painted cover, i remember seein some image comic with that cover the past few months and i thought it was this book

Wait a minute? Why isn't “Vlad and Cassie vs. Bloody Mary” included in the Omnibuses? Is it being saved for a future Omnibus, or is Tim not allowed reprint it again for some reason?

There was also a two parter where Cassie and Vlad went up against the character from Bump and his wooden creatures. It wasn't included in the second Omnibus.

As for the Bloody Mary storyline, do you mean the one where Cassie and Vlad are in a college campus fighting a character from the Slice Hard story?
