I just read revival 1 which was released in a special edition early with my LCS logo on it for souther Maryland comic-con and I gotta say... This comic absolutely rocks. I am freKing loving it, it's already now on my pull list and the first issue doesn't even get released nation wide till Wed I think. Seeley is an amazing writer and I think this comic is going to be big time. As far as 2012 new comics are concerned only Saga compares to this one.

The concept is very neat... Kinda like that tv show deadwood if anyone ever saw it.. But Seeley writes small town people and female heroines extremely well.

As a Side note, Tim is a REALLY cool guy, very friendly.. Very "real", genuine. It's a small con so I got a lot of time with him today while he was doing signings and drawing me a personaized sketch of Cassie, Vlad and Poochie. I am now a Seeley fan for life and I can not wait to read the next Revival as well as Hack Slah.

As a side thought... releasing a new comic the same week as the Walking Dead 100 issue is not a very good idea. People will be blowing their money on getting the 9 covers, not on trying new comics. I hope people don't miss out on this great story because of the release week.

Buying 9 covers of the Walking Dead #100 is the modern day equivalent of buying 25 copies of #X-Force #1

but as to Revival, I loved the characters, the art, the pacing, the intrigue and the twist. Looking forward to Issue #2.

I just read it. I loved it. The alien looking thing creeped me out. I hope Dana's sister doesnt go over the edge like the old chick did. I liked the art and I liked the implications of the story. An event like this would have a definite religious impact. I liked the uncertainty that everyone is feeling because no one knows what is going on. I want to see next issue because I am intrigued and want to see how Dana and her sister deal with her revival. Very good start to the series.

I'm finally going to start on Hack/Slash. It's going to take a while since I'm starting at the beginning. Once I'm up to speed, I plan on supporting this book as well.
