Love it, reminds me of the cheesy SyFy movies!

My thoughts and grade on the issue:

Hack/Slash #13 (B+) Probably one of my favorite issues in this series. You get Samhain looking for a cure to the darkness inside of him (and that might cure all slashers - making the world a better place and Cassie out of purpose in her life) and then sharing some nice moments with Cassie. You get Cat Curio toning down her more obnoxious monologues and being clever and useful (she's been much more interesting and less annoying lately). You get a big twist in the motives of the people "helping" our protagonists. And you have crazy monsters like Gorillaconda and telepathic raptors. It's good crazy fun. Emilio Laiso does a pretty good job on art but I like regular artist Daniel Leister a bit better and hope he returns soon.

I have to agree that Cat Curio is becoming a much more likeable character than she started out as. I like that she's actually getting things done these past two issues. She seems to be doing more legwork than Cassie or Vlad have in recent memory.

I wrote a review of it recently pointing out how awesome Curio has been recently.

I also love that she admonishes Cassie and Samhain for "mauling each other" while there's stuff goin' down on the island!
