“DEATH OF THE PARTY,” Part Three

Monster-Fight-A-Go-Go! The hunt for Invisible Man's killer continues through the bars and booths of FantasyScapeCon. Wolfman Carl and the Midnight Slasher finally face off with knives and claws, while TV’s former interstellar engineer Travis uncovers the truth behind alien menace The Mass.

•••

This is our best issue yet, Lee Leslie's really stretching his skills on this one, and it's full of monster fighting. What more could you want?

If anyone has any thoughts, comments or spare change, before it comes out or afterwards, let me know.

It took me a good half an hour to read each of the previous issues. I kept getting lost in all the silly details in the art, it's so much fun to search in each panel. It compliments the writing so well (which is hilarious in itself). Can't wait for this one, especially if it got taken up a notch.

Hey, it's August 3rd already, and Issue 3 has been released into the wild. Meanwhile, I'm gonna get back to working on Issue 4, which is just about wrapped up. Hope everyone goes out and buys a dozen (because each issue of Screamland is like a pretty rose) and picks up what we're putting down in this issue. As always, questions and comments are more than welcome.

Thanks Orange, glad to hear you enjoy all the easter eggs. Sometimes I worry that it's just a whole bunch of extra work that only makes me, Harold and Chris smile.

Hey, look who showed up to the party. Now we just have to drag Harold in here.

You are quite welcome. So please, keep sticking funny things in amusing places, if only to please the four of us!

On to this week's issue!

This is really becoming one of my favorites. I have this urgent feeling to read it right when I get it instead of letting it sit for a couple of days. I loved the Midnight Slasher flashback (almost typed "Midnight Flasher" ;) ). I also can't get over how cute The Mass is. His facial expressions and general demeanor make him my favorite character, so I enjoyed the revelation of him being a secret genius. I'm excited to see what happens with Robrain in the next issue since he hasn't appeared much. I think it would be funny to see The Mass go off on him for acting so smug and smart, and accidentally reveal his own evil intelligence.
