Zub...since all of us seem to really enjoy the sound effects of the book. Whose idea was it to do them that way?

If you would have listened to his interview on Image Addiction you might know that answer :o

::sigh:: True. I guess. You guys have them archived? I'll have to try to listen to it.

Or Zub could just answer and save me from it! :::immenent danger:::

I just finished #7. What a great start to a new arc.

And did I see correctly that we now know the names of our skullkicking duo?

The sound effects were my idea. They're based on my love of old Japanese manga, particularly Samurai epics, where they would have onomatopoeia with two characters facing off like 'silent tension' or sound effects indicating musical notes and drama, things like that. I just loved that silence had a sound effects telling you it was silence.

Since we introduced a few and readers really enjoyed them, I've been sprinkling them in ever since. Marshall, our letterer, found them a bit weird at first but now he's really digging them.

Our most secret sound effect yet?
If you look on page 8 of issue #5, between the legs of the Necromancer on panel 5 is the tiny, tiny sound effect "pee release". :)

Those are indeed two names, but we haven't used them since. Read issue #11, arriving in September, and I think you'll be intrigued by how it goes... :)
