I hope to continue to polish it up, and work on it. But wanted to share what I have so far. Rime of the Templar
The path it stretched before the eye,
The Templar pressed on by the by,
To reach the end at a blood soaked place
Underneath the branches of the Tree of Grace.
The Templar stood in growing violence,
Neither side succumbed to silence,
As brothers-in-arms became bitter enemies,
Beneath Kros Cur Onnor Da’s leaves.
The Templar fought as the rain fell,
Wotan’s tears washed across the vale,
The tears mixed with the fallen’s blood,
Until but a few of the Templar stood.
Twas on that day as the blood ran deep,
As mothers and daughters their losses did weep,
Wotan looked down from above the stars,
As the dark lands were wounds turned to scars.
Deep in the seat of Dealrach Ard-Vale,
The king sits in troubled silence,
Whispers fall gently upon his ears,
And fill his dark soul with violence.
The priests they sit in self righteous glee,
High in the reaches of the Great Ash Tree,
As a word from Wotan they waited to hear,
With blinded eyes and closed up ear.
