I remember a reader pointing that book out to them in the past. One of the brothers replied saying that they were aware of it and noted some similarities, but said that due to the prominent differences nothing could be done about it.

Whats so similiar? The dome over the town? Simpsons did that too... Other then the forcefield, it sounds nothing like Girls.
