But the carl scenes didn't work for me considering the actor looks like he's 16
A 10 year old in a comic yeah I can see negan having that conversation with
A 16 year old negan would kill the kid and punish Alexandria
How old is carl supposed to be on the show now any way
The episode doesn't work because Chandler Riggs isn't a very good actor, is too old, and is completely un-menacing. At no point has he come off as a serial killer in the making, even when he murdered the kid outside the prison. Negan is having a conversation with a version of Carl that doesn't exist.
Am I the only one getting bored or even irritated by JD Morgan's portrayal of Negan? Only taken a few episodes to go from generally liking him to "I've had enough". Not sure if it's the writing, or how he delivers the lines, but I'm getting tired of him.
I think its mainly because were not laughing with Negan.
In the comic Negan is read as a Joker/Comedian-like delivery. In the show their making him too "menacing". Their putting efforts in for the audience to not like Negan. Which I can understand, but for the comic book fan it just sucks that the lines are delivered with so much malice that their not funny its just uncomfortable.
maybe once he gets a grasp on the character more his "funside" will show more.
