The first Reacher book isn't the best. And the great thing about those books is that there's almost no continuity involved whatsoever, so you can read them in any order. I'd recommend ONE SHOT, TRIPWIRE, or THE HARD WAY.

As for who'd win in a fight ... that's a tough call. Probably Reacher. He's almost super-human!

I've seen Justified...I like the character of Raylan. Need to track down the stories.
