So what did you think of Karic using the demon cat?
Karic has paid a terrible price for using that zombie cat.
We're five issues into Volume III, and he's still not recovered.

And that is just proof as to how good this series is. This is the only book that I have ever read that the main protagonist is not in the bulk of the current arc, and yet it's still very good.
I am beginning to wonder though, what will Karic be like when he recovers? Will he have learned his lesson, or will he try to walk the "I just wasn't careful enough" line. How much of an influence does Pilot's initial training still have on him? I know Cassius has made him a better Templar, but with how long he was with Pilot will that still have a lingering effect on the young mouse.
I am very interested to see how Karic and Leito will react when they see each other again, especially since Leito is under the tutelage of Pilot now. I know Lieto had the benifit of Deishun's training long before he ran in to Pilot, but Pilot is a vile mouse. I worry that Leito might be in for a long difficult road. As it is written "Do not be decieved, bad company corrupts good character", so will Pilot sway Leito more than we can know just by his mere presence.
Hmm...things to ponder.
