It starts in Destiny #2, when a mouse prisoner is subjected to the "Ritual of the Slow Death."
The consequences are experienced in issue #3!

I feel I have failed.

But, I still love the story! And this gives me a great excuse to read it all again.

So not really failure, but redirection. Of course I always find something I missed everytime I go through the story again.

Wouldn't The Mark of Kuhl-En be considered a Templar blade?

And who has it since Destiny #9? :twisted:

I had actually thought of the Mark of Kuhl-En!

But along the lines of my post about Tosk getting Cassius' swords, Karic would have to have the Mark to stand a chance. But that was also assuming Tosk could tap in to the power of the swords.

That doesn't bode well for our hero. Or was the sacrifice so great that the sword in powered all the time.

Will Karic eventually be called upon to make a sacrifice such as Kuhl-En did? What was Kuhl-En's sacrifice? We know his ideals formed the Templar, but was it carried on because of a sacrifice made for the greater good?

Gotta say being at work right now is killing me!

Cassius revealed to Llochloraine in A Midwinter Night's Dream #1, that the insect guardians that secure the boundaries between night and day were "cursed" by Kuhl-En by the power of the Mark.

Thus, is the Mark a "sacrifice sword" or a cursed blade? :twisted:

As Donas uttered at the end of The Prophecy...
