Near Death #5 (Spoilers)

Really solid ending to this first set of stories. Glad Sutton was alive, I hope we haven't seen the last of her. It was kinda sad that Markham didn't get to say an actual goodbye to her. Once again Markham shows that he has as much brains as brawn. I'm surprised that he didn't kill the other hitman. Of course, the other guy was too which is what made his plan so effective. Should be fun to see what's next.

It was nice getting to see some of the characters from past issues come together and help Markham out.

my lcs didn't get #5... and no word on if/when #4 showing up.

My store is not ordering Near Death, but I have an online pull starting with #6. Can't for it and the trade.

yea, he should be ordering- he orders several other books for me, that probably don't have a big readership compared to DC/Marvel books-- like Sixth Gun, Atomic Robo, & Warlord of Mars.
Atomic Robo is another book that he's often not getting in the shipments-- likewise with Zenescope's Sinbad series.
I know he orders them, so it's probably diamond's fault for not shipping the proper books.

Finally caught up on this (I missed issue 3 and 4 but that was corrected :oops:

) and I've enjoyed the series from the beginning, but these last few issues have been really good. I like seeing some ramifications of what Markham has done, and some other consequences of his life. I think that bring the stories to a new level rather just him going out and doing "good" now. Glad I got caught up and hope to stay that way now.
