LOL. I like the wiseguys for the most part, but I will agree that Dave and The Seeker are long overdue to reappear.

I'd love to see Dave again. The Seeker, on the other hand, has become something that could never live up to the expectation. So it's better to keep him in his current state, as the unsolved mysterious guy that everyone is obsessed with.

I really just want to see the Seeker again, even if we don't get any resolution to his deal.

Speaking of overdue appearances, Rogue Warrior hasn't appeared in nearly 100 issues! I think he might be able to break a few aliens in the upcoming invasion.

Hell yeah! Or at least have a badass last stand fending off dozens of the fuckers.

I feel similarly. Dave, The Seeker, and the Giant Mummy are all characters who the fans have clamored to see more of, but may be better left as mysterious. It's okay (and even preferable in some cases) to leave some mysteries unexplained.

I don't mean they should never show up again. Just that I don't want a full OHATMU (or I guess OHATSDU) report on the Giant Mummy-- that ruins his whole deus ex machina deal.

I don´t mind not seing the Big Mummy again, but the Seeker needs to return.

Yeah, I always thought the Seeker was a pretty neat character. The guy never even said a word!

Still, I think Rogue Warrior would easily man handle him in a fight. As much as I love Arachnid and Seeker, both last appeared after issue 100. Rogue Warrior has been sitting on a couch pissed off because he's been regulated to the sidelines since issue 85.

I've been reading all of the Walking Dead trades the past couple days and they reminded me of the old SD trades. Can't remember if it was this thread or another where we spoke of this but...

I love the opening title pages in the current issues of SD. They're cool as hell and look like how comics should open to me but!

I remember how the old SD trades were designed by Erik to read as a single, great read. That was one of the reasons new pages were added to make it a more complete story. The current trades now actually feel like just a collection of books (and yes, I know that that's what they are) rather than a collection that was also one big, epic story.

Basically, I wouldn't cry if the title and credits were relegates back to the inside cover. There'd be less intrusive and although I like Tom's title lettering, it would mean the trades could start to read like an epic again.

One of the things that a lot of people liked about the pre-Savage World format was how every single issue really did just roll into the next. The Archives prove that as they read like huge stories rather than a lot of different chapters.

So yeah, I liked the old format SD trades and current TWD trades.

Whatever happened to the cabbie that drove Dragon around in issue 24, waited for him at the hospital in #25? I seem to recall Dragon really opening up to this guy. Is he dead?
