I was excited about a few comics coming out yesterday, and even started on a TPB to catch up on another really great series (the boys) but the biggest thing for me ended up being the Manhattan projects. I am just completely blown away by this comic. Without exaggerating I believe this is my favorite number 1 issue of any comic, ever. It usually takes a few issues to get me hooked on something; this is not the case with MPs... I wish this was a bi-weekly. It is going to be monthly torture waiting for the next issue, I actually got an adrenaline rush from reading the last page.

If anyone didn't pick this one up or have it added to their weekly reading list... this is a must read. I am just still blown away at its ingenious story line, absolutely captivating.

The story was great and Pitarra killed it on the art.

The "twist" at the end wasn't that surprsing, but so well executed it doesn't even matter.

The parallel panels Pitara did of the two Oppenheimers were so well paced. The coloring was pitch perfect too.

This was a great read! perhaps the best issue one of 2012 so far.
While the story/writing was great, the art is kinda something to get used to.

I agree... the way Pitara drew Big Albert was really great to me as well. I am so intrigued about the big mystery and the insinuation Albert has some sort of mental powers in the scene showing the dead Japanese cyborgs in Alberts room.

Oh I think it is definitely the best issue 1 of 2012 so far, which is saying a lot because so far this year has come out with some good stuff.

So, is this an ongoing or a limited series? I hope it doesn't get axed into a mini the way The Red Wing was, such great potential and free reins in this concept.
