I was pretty skeptical about this, and I'm definitely in the camp that thinks that Hollywood has run out of ideas, but I have to admit this trailer looks fantastic:

As long as a new adaption of the novel, and not a remake of the first movie. Then I see potential here. Philip K. Dick novels are a wealth of film ideas.

Thing is, in the original short story ("We Can Remember It for You Wholesale") from which Paul Verhoeven made his TOTAL RECALL film, the story never actually takes place on Mars, even in part. It was a very different kind of story. This new movie isn't a remake so much as a re-adaption.
