The first thing I thought when I heard about this comic being Kirkman's first book to be really "grounded in reality" I started wondering when we'd hear news about the TV show being made. :)

I've really enjoyed the first few issues of the book, so I'm excited to hear more news.

I'm really digging this book more and more. After this first arc sets everything up I can see this being a great monthly comic. I dont know about a show already! They should wait till they have 10 issues under their belts at least.

I dont like the way this Spencer dude writes.... read 2 trades of Morning Glories and still wasnt sure what was going on. And read 1 issue of ToT and nothing happpened. I may pick up the issues Kirkman writes... just to see what he does

Someone posted this in the CBR forums so I'll just cut and paste. Thought this was cool:

And I loved this issue. This is definitely a slow burn comic and I know some people will be turned off by that. But there is great character building going on here. The characters are all interesting, we get to know an expanded cast member each issue, the dialogue is great, and I like the art even though it's not the usual style I enjoy. Even though this will read better in trade I've found myself enjoying each new issue more than the last.

I agree with this 100%. Just wait 20 issues down the road and this thing will be huge! Remember Walking Dead started off shaky too and lots of people were unsure about it and now everyone loves that book/show.
