Ive always been a big Moon Knight fan, and recently found out about this cool looking 'Marc Spector: Moon Knight' run (1989-1994) that I seem to have missed when it was published, so I ordered all 60 issues. Stuff arrived today, and it's looking great so far ! Lot's of 'supernatural' stuff.

Looks like Im in a retro mood... Always wanted to read/own the full Image's original 'Wetworks' run (1994-1998), but somehow I never got around to all of it. Rectified that today; ordered the 43 issues. Hope the stuff arrives soon.

Yeah, Moon Knight always seemed like a cool character/story. I mean, what's not cool about the moon and a knight? The new series was cool, but it stopped at #12 after only one story arc. Not cool!!! :( Let me know if that series (1989-1994) is good. I'm interested.

The Moon Knight series from 2006 was a pretty good read. It was pretty brutal.

The 90s run of MK was pretty awesome. Ron Garney was pencilling it for a spell, and this is the book/run that introduced the world to one Stephen Platt.
Issue #55, I believe...

Indeed, the Charlie Huston / David Finch run was fantastic. Also, one of the main theme's in that run (is Marc Spector really the avatar of the egypt moon god Konshu, or is he just batshit crazy ?) is somewhat similar to the Bendis/Meleev run. Unfortunately, as soon as the next creative team took over, that particular series went downhill real quick for me. (until Bendis/Meleev took over).

yeah, it's quite good. But also, it's at least a little freaky/weird, so it may not be for you. For example, there's a short crossover with the marvel 'Infinity War' event, where the world gets overrun by zillions of 'dark doppelgangers' of the marvel hero's. There's one issie where Moon Knight chases his very own doppelganger 'Moonshade' all around the multiverse, as Moonshade destroys/absorbs all alternate universe's MK versions one by one. The series is filled with all kinds of this supernatural freaky stuff. It's a good read, but maybe a little too freaky for your taste, especially if you only know MK from the Bendis/Maleev run. And yeah, S. Platt draws a few issues, starting with #55. Which was, by the way, a lot more expensive ($40 !) compared to the rest of the series (+/- $3 each). But if you really just want SPLATT, then why not just get the shortnsweet Souls Saga run from Image ?
