Saga...

Ditto.

I heard good word-of-mouth about Saga, so I tried to pick it up this past week. They had sold out of all issue #2s and all second printings of #1. I'm hoping they can get more in this week. I've heard such favorable things, I told the owner of my local comic shop to add it to my pull list without even having read a single issue.

Due to recent changes in the comic industry my pull list has gotten ridiculously Image-heavy. I now get Savage Dragon, Invincible, Conan, Chew, Atomic Robo, Prophet, Supreme, and I just added Saga and The New Deadwardians. You might notice that list includes no Marvel or DC titles. I read the occasional story off the rack at B&N, but as far as I can tell, the big two are currently putting out nothing that's worth spending money on.

Last year I was only going to my local comics shop once a month (maybe) and was completely bored with my collection and the state of comics itself until January 2012. I was already reading/collecting Blue Estate, Butcher Baker, Invincible, and The Walking dead but then Fatale and Saga were announced. Long story short, now my comic collection is the most diverse it's ever been in 30 plus years (I'm old) and I can't wait to go to my local comics shop every Wednesday to peep a new (or current) Image title.

Amen to that. I'd actually stopped reading comics altogether until last year. Green Wake, Blue Estate, Butcher Baker and a few others really pulled me back in after wanting nothing to with DC/Marvel. Now my pull list is entirely Image/Oni/IDW/indie with exception of Wonder Woman and Voodoo from DC. Atomic Robo, Panzefaust, Grim Leaper, Glory, Prophet, Cobra, Smoke & Mirrors, No Place Like Home, DB Cooper, Morning Glories, Rebel Blood, ToT, Chew and others.

Its crazy how the comic landscape really changed in the last few years. It really drew me back into the comics world after a VERY long hiatus.

If you like superheroes I'd suggest Batman & Aquaman. Both are great. Also Supreme & Glory are well worth reading.
